FASHION FORWARD

JUST FOR KIDS EDITION | BY HEATHER KRAFFT PHOTOS BY ROY INMAN

BABY BANGLES

Don’t leave baby out of the fun of accessories — comfortable stretchy bracelets are the perfect finishing touch.

Girl Boutique in Hawthorne Plaza carries bracelets for girls by Nancy Wolfe. This blue-and-white piece is accented with little blue flower beads. Bracelets are offered in numerous color combinations to coordinate with everything.

Wolfe also designs custom necklaces, earrings and rings.

The bracelet is $8 at Girl Boutique, 5005 W. 119th St., Overland Park, 913-339-9000.

LIVELY LEGS

Babies learning to crawl and walk tend to get pretty banged up on hard floors, so Nicole Donnelly invented BabyLegs.

When Donnelly was a stay-at-home mom, she wanted something to keep her daughter’s legs warm and protected while she was diaper-free, healing from a rash. She got so many inquiries about the warmers that she started selling them out of her diaper bag.

Donnelly now sells a variety of BabyLegs, for girls and boys in endless colors and patterns, worldwide.

BabyLegs start at $12 at Angel Babies, at Santa Fe and Mur-Len between Price Chopper and CVS, 2085 E. Santa Fe, Olathe. 913-390-1995; www.angelbabiesusa.com; www.babylegs.net.

ZIG-ZAG TAG

The tunic-style top is such a versatile option: You can wear it as a dress or paired with leggings. Eber Jeeber in Hawthorne Plaza is now offering the Flowers by Zoe line for girls sizes 4-12. The collection includes bold patterns and bright colors in trendy silhouettes.

This month, bring in any used baby item for Infants in Need and get 10 percent off your purchase.

The top is $82 at Eber Jeeber, 4937 W. 119th St., Overland Park. 913-663-3237; www.eberjeeber.com.

PINT-SIZE PINK

The bigger and bolder the print the better when it comes to kids clothing.

Local designer Brooke McBride of Everything Unique hand-sews fun embellished clothing and accessories for children. This adorable top is trimmed with chocolate rosettes. The patterned pull-on pants are topped off with ruffle trim.

Madi’s Closet carries the Everything Unique line plus other local childrenswear designers.

The outfit (top and bottom) is $59, hat is $16 and shoes are $45, all at Madi’s Closet in the Stanley Station shopping center, 7801 W. 151st St., Overland Park, 913-383-8281.
